About 2 weeks back, my family (sans my brother) celebrated my dad's birthday at Kopitiam, a casual eatery located within Swissotel. It was a Saturday, so it was quite packed at the City Hall area due to the National Day parade rehearsal. But! That was also one of the reason why we chose to eat at Kopi Tiam, so we could see the fireworks while dining.
Kopi Tiam is know for serving up authentic local favorites.
We ordered quite a bit of food since there were 6 of us, there was fish head curry, prawn paste wings, oyster omelette, sotong, asparagus and pork rib dishes.
Claypot fish head curry.

My sister and sister-in-law.
W & me!
The good thing about this place is that it wasn't packed when we were there on a Saturday night, plus we did manage to catch the fireworks near Padang while dining! Another perk is that the food was served real quick, maybe too quick. Because the dishes came quickly but they were lukewarm at best. So I'm assuming they cooked it beforehand and just scooped it out of the wok to serve? We also felt that the fish head curry was disappointing, the fish wasn't too fresh. The rest of the dishes were also so-so.
Nevertheless, it's the company that matters.
We ended up chilling over drinks at Xin Wang at Marina Square, talking about a lot of random stuff!
Always wishing you health and happiness, daddy! Wealth is nothing compared to you being healthy. Thanks for grooming me into the daddy's girl that I have been for my entire life, hahaha!!
